A beautiful state park located near Geiger Lake on way 49 Is the Park called the Paul B Johnson State Park. This Paul B. Johnson State Park is situated in the heart of the pine belt region Mississippi and is considered one of the most beautiful parks in Hattiesburg. Water skiing Is one of the fun and exciting activities that visitors can enjoy at this part. The lake is additionally open for fishing and swimming. The lake is full of fish of a spread of species such as the bluegill, crappie, catfish, and therefore the largemouth bass.

Activities available at the Park 

The Paul B Johnson State Park has a variety of recreational fun activities and facilities are available for all age which includes: Picnic pavilions, playgrounds, picnic tables and tents, visitor’s center and playroom, Splash pad, disc golf, swimming, water skiing, nature trails, Fishing, etc…

After fishing at this park, visitors can even cook them. There are RV camping pads which are filled with amenities such as electrical hookups et Al.  Also, other than the 16 vacation cabins, 50 sites are designated as picnic areas which have grills and there are also six picnic pavilions available for rent. 

The park welcome area has the following amenities as reception, game room, lounge, meeting room, and the flags of the US of America. The game room features video games and pool tables. The park meeting room accommodates up to 70 people. 

Near the paved parking, there are a number of restrooms. Another thing that can be found at the park is the Lakefront playground equipment, the lake swimming is permitted in a very designated area. Playgrounds here have play equipment.

Picnic shelters and picnic tables are positioned in a very grassed area under the cover of huge pine trees. Some tables are set near the waters fringe of Geiger Lake et al are set in an adjacent jungle with views of the lake. There are Six (6) large picnic pavilions with tables across the Lake. The pavilions are great facilities for giant group outings and family reunions. It features 8 picnic tables, water, electricity, and a BBQ grill.

This is a nice spot to visit among family, friends, or colleagues. Several recreational activities at the Paul B Johnson State Park allow you and your loved ones to create beautiful memories while you enjoy everything this park has to offer.
